Finding an affordable dental plan is not always easy. Now, through Anthem Student Advantage you can access high-quality dental care at a cost designed with budget in mind. Regular dental care is important as checkups can detect early warning signs of serious health problems, when they are easier to treat. That means taking care of your teeth can help protect your overall health.
Who is eligible?
Enrollment is voluntary to all University of Nevada, Reno, registered International and Medical students taking 1 or more credits; and all graduate students taking 6 or more graduate credit hours. Covered students may also enroll their dependents.
If you do not want the Student Health Insurance Plan, you must decline or opt-out of coverage by submitting a waiver. You may only opt-out of coverage during the following Waiver Periods:
All waivers must be submitted by 11:59 PM on the published waiver deadline to be considered.
The Spring/Summer waiver deadline ended 02/08/2022. The online waiver system can no longer accept new waiver requests.
It is very important to make sure that your address, phone number, and email address on file at the school are current and accurate. If not, ID cards, explanation of benefits and other notifications about your student health insurance plan may not get to you. If you have moved or your contact information has changed, please make sure you update your contact information on your MyNevada account.
Additionally, please refer to help.myahpcare.com to learn how you may update your address in our records as well.
